The Effect of Home Environment Modification Education on the Activity Daily of Living and Caregiver¡¯s Burden in Parkinson¡¯s Disease

Abstract
Objective : The purpose of this study is to find out the effects of home environment modification education on patients with Parkinson¡¯s disease on Activity daily of living and caregiver burden.

Methods : A total of four education sessions were conducted for 15 elderly people diagnosed with Parkinson¡¯s disease from December 2018 to March 2019. The new ADL Questionnaire and Zarit Burden Interview were conducted to evaluate Activity daily of living of patients before and after intervention and the Caregiver burden. Prior to and after training.

Results : Parkinson¡¯s disease patients and caregivers who provided home environment modification training showed significant differences in their Activity daily of living and burden (p<.05).

Conclusion : Through this study, we hope that home environment modification education can be actively used as an intervention method to prevent the progression of Parkinson¡¯s disease patients and promote health.
